Working at the intersection of contemporary puppet theatre, movement, voice, and visual arts, my practice explores the delicate boundary between body and figure, where matter becomes presence and the invisible finds form.

My artistic research begins with observation. Influenced by life drawing, martial arts, and the performing arts, I approach creation as an act of listening. Every wrinkle, gesture, texture, and silence carries memory; every puppet emerges through an attentive dialogue with the material rather than from the desire to control it. Animation, for me, is not about imposing movement, but revealing a life that already exists within the figure.

Over the years, my relationship with Japan has become an essential part of this journey. Through artistic collaborations, residencies, and continuous study, I encountered a culture where craftsmanship, discipline, and the poetry of everyday gestures are deeply intertwined. Rather than shaping an aesthetic, Japan transformed the way I observe. It taught me to recognise the value of stillness, emptiness, repetition, and the quiet beauty that resides in the smallest details. This way of seeing continues to guide both my artistic research and my creative process.

My work brings together puppetry, physical theatre, dance, singing, and object animation, creating performances where body, voice, and matter exist in constant dialogue. Each creation becomes an exploration of memory, identity, and the subtle traces that define our humanity.
